About Β· Bellingham, WA
The story behind Geordie's Auto Authority β and the promise that built it.
You've probably seen the name around Whatcom County by now β on Instagram, on TikTok, maybe on a license plate frame in the Fred Meyer parking lot. Geordie's Auto Authority. But behind the name is just a guy who sells cars the way he thinks cars should be sold. Here's the story.
I didn't grow up dreaming about selling cars. I learned the car business the way a lot of people do β by watching it done badly. Too many dealerships, too many salespeople, treating customers like transactions: rush them in, wear them down, get the signature, forget their name. I watched good people leave dealerships feeling taken advantage of, and I decided that if I was ever going to do this for a living, I'd do it the opposite way.
So I built Geordie's Auto Authority around a simple idea: sell cars like you'd want to buy one. Straight answers. Real numbers. Zero pressure. The kind of experience where you leave thinking, "huh, that was actually easy" β whether you buy a car that day or not.
When it came time to pick a home base, the choice was easy. I joined the team at Dewey Griffin Subaru at 1800 Iowa St in Bellingham because I wanted to sell cars I genuinely believe in β and there is nothing I believe in more for Whatcom County life than a Subaru.
Think about it: Chuckanut Drive in January. The Baker Highway on a powder day. A muddy Forest Service road in July with a kayak on the roof. This is where we live, and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive was practically designed for our zip code. I don't have to fake enthusiasm for these cars. I drive the lifestyle I sell, and half my customers were already Subaru people before they ever met me.
Dewey Griffin has been part of the Bellingham community for years, with a real service department and real people behind the counter. That matters to me, because when I sell you a car, I'm also selling you the next ten years of oil changes, warranty work, and "hey, what's that noise?" phone calls. I wanted those years to happen somewhere I'd be proud to send my own family.
Here's my promise, and I mean every word of it: no pressure, ever. You want to just look around the lot for twenty minutes? Look around. You want every number broken down line by line until it makes sense? We'll go line by line. You want me to tell you a car isn't right for you β even if it costs me a sale? I'll say it, and I have.
I'd rather earn your trust than your signature. Trust brings people back, brings their friends in, and builds the kind of name-recognition across Whatcom County that no ad budget can buy. A signature under pressure brings a bad review and a customer who warns their neighbors. The math isn't complicated.
That's also why I'll talk you out of the wrong car. If the budget doesn't work, if the timing's off, if a used model fits your life better than the new one you're eyeing β you'll hear it from me first. My job is to get you the right car, not just a car.
Working with me is deliberately simple. My direct line is 360.500.0325 β call or text, and it rings my pocket, not a call center or a phone tree. Text me what you're looking for and I'll tell you straight what's on the lot, what's coming in, and what I'd recommend. You'll find me posting the day-to-day on Instagram and TikTok at @geordiesautoauthority β real inventory, real answers, none of the dealership-stock-photo nonsense.
I'm at the dealership Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10amβ8pm β but my schedule rotates, so shoot me a text to confirm before you head over. Want a test drive? Tell me when works for you and I'll have the car warmed up and waiting. I don't do the "let me go talk to my manager" theater; when you're ready to talk numbers, we talk numbers, openly, until you're comfortable.
And after the sale? You still have my number. Service questions, trade-in values down the road, first dibs when the right used Subaru comes in β I'm your car guy for as long as you want one. That's the whole business model.
I'm not trying to be the biggest dealership in Bellingham. I'm trying to be the name people say when their neighbor asks, "know a good car guy?" β the no-pressure Subaru guy who picks up his phone, tells it straight, and makes buying a car feel easy.
If that's the kind of car buying you want, you know where to find me.
